further to my recent post i have set out on our journey today from southampton to dover. the van has started spluttering again. we thought the fuel pump replacement had solved it.

does anyone know any specialists between here (basingstoke) & dover, where we're headed, who may be able to solve this issue & allow us to continue on our 3 month trip

update...I have calmed down a little and returned home to nr Southampton. Our 3 month trip is a little on the rocks. Its v frustrating as whatever this fault is has stumped my garage. I am hoping someone can recommend an expert in this area who can properly sort it. The van runs faultlessly for a while (since new fuel pump fitted and before that since new coil fitted) giving the impression its sorted. Then splutters at speed and on way home today, progressively worse including cutting out. People have helpfully suggested things but i think i need someone to actually look at it and diagnose.

So any T25 or other specialist in Hampshire but could probably get to Surrey, even sussex if it meant getting sorted so we could continue (begin!) our trip?

You could try Doug at Dougs VW Werks in Sussex. Have you looked at vanagon syndrome?

Grant at Beetlelink in Badshot Lea (Aldershot) knows his stuff, could be worth a try.
