1988 Autosleeper no power to lights, fridge etc

Hi, the interior lights, fridge, and heating in my autosleeper Trident have suddenly stopped working. Battery is fine, power to wiring where it heads to the control panel but no power at control panel. I cant find any fuses that have blown but not sure if the wiring goes to the engine bay or not for any reason. But basically nompower getting to the rear of van. Any ideas? Is there another fuse somewhere? Is there a relay anywhere that may have gone?
I am in Haywards Heath if anyone is local to take a gander.
Thanks,
Andy

I'm not sure yours will be the same but I had an in-line fuse & holder in the battery box that protected & supplied all the camper electrics & it drove me crackers before I worked out it was breaking down only under load.Never showed up at all when testing with a meter. Once I had replaced the holder & fuse with a new one I never had any further problem.

Jeff j, ok I will change the holder and fuse. I know the fuse you refer to but i had checked it but not the holder. could be bad conntacts there too. The problem has been intermittant so could be a broken wire or contact. Must be something silly like this. Thanks, I will let you know if it works. Cheers Andy

I removed the old holder and fitted a blade type fuse holder.

Well still no go. Fuse hoder is blade type already and def not the problem. Need to trace where the wiring goes first after the battery compartment. Still confused.

The fused wire goes to the control panel.

Yes, via the pillar & across the wooden box section, not the engine compartment. Seems strange as there is nowhere it is exposed for it to get damaged apart from the back of the battery box.

Is there any other sort you can get nowadays?

Most problems occur in the panel.
I assume you have checked all the fuses on the panel?
Do you have a multimeter to check for voltage?
This will help narrow it down

Hi, thanks for all the helpful comments. Yes fuses checked. Used multimeter and no voltage at control panel. Ran a separate wire from battery to control panel and all works. Negative wire is fine when checked for continuity with multi so just seems to me positive. I agree it is strange. I might expose the wire where it bends over the battery box as maybe the table has been dropped onto the wire and crushed it.
I will let you all know.
Thanks again.

I did that.
I took the propex out and rewired it from there to the battery
