Oil filler pipe.

The oil filler pipe on my 1.6d,is cracked on the flange bit,and leaks when running.Can it be fixed with anything,or where would i get a new one..?

I would say it could probably be fixed wit a bit of chemical plastic or summit eqiv'. I'd say a new 1 would be a trip to Vw

Nice one, i'll give it a go, anyting to stop the polkadot oil spots on me tail gate after 50 miles..cheers.

cheers i'm going to try some sort of glue sounds expensive for a new one

But you're going to remove it from the vehicle to mend it aren't you? It's got to be scrupulously cleaned where the epoxy goes or the glue won't stick!
ps thermoplastics (the heat softens them kind) can be surface-welded with a soldering iron ....

Ive got the same problem, vw dont make them anymore, posted a thread in wanted but no takers. Ive bodged mine up with rapid araldite and turned it around so that the area that leaks is at the top, its ok at the moment. If you find anywhere to get one please let me know as im sure it wont last forever, and i will do likewise im still looking.
One answer to my thread was that the later 1.6 n/a was fitted with a 1.6 td filler, still available from vw, however you also need to change the small metal bit that connects to the block as well, pricey i should think, but a last option.
