Hi Guys,

I've been experiencing a serious clutch judder problem when pulling away so i've pulled the gearbox out today and planning to replace the clutch, flywheel o ring seal and oil seal.

Here's a pic of my flywheel, is the crack a problem?

Also was expecting to see the big flywheel nut instead of these 17mm bolts? And should i just be able to pull this guy out? Seems reluctant to shift!

Afraid so the flywheel is scrap. Type 4 engines use five bolt fixings for the flywheel.

Thanks guys.

Is the cracked flywheel the cause of my transmission judder?

That and/or worn/busted engine mounts. Usually worse in reverse uphill if it is.
