My VW Bay Window owning mate has a mobile shed he sometimes drags around behind his Passat

It has some kind of plastic double glazed window at the front that is coming apart at the top. He is off to some VW festival in Germany soon and needs it fixed. The 2 surfaces that mate together are both the same, some kind of perspex or summat, the outer one being bowed out to form the double glazing.

Anyone got any thoughts as to what to use ?

Note = He has been quoted STUPID figures by local caravan places, most of them apparently want to swap the entire front double glazed screen out for hundreds of pounds !

Acrylic glue works on perspex, so may work on his window.

I just bought a new (Gunzl) double glazed side window for my Westy and the two halves are joined with double sided trim tape. I'm replacing it because, driving through a small village on my last trip, a young kid chucked a stone and it smashed through both panes. Luckily I found all the pieces and made a roadside repair using 'JB Weld.' Ok, so being grey, it's highly visible and none too pretty but it is SOLID. I'm sure it's stronger than rest of the window!

Interesting they are held together with tape. Do they have the Westfalia logo on the inner panes? I've just sold an original rear side one and it looked like they had been bonded together with something other than tape. Whatever it was was clear and I think it is adhesive. I have a few other spare ones which have the black double sided tape bonding the two panes but all these have had the inner replaced with polycarbonate. The tape on these does not seem to hold so well and the inner polycarb sheet has warped a bit. Don't know if that is because there was no vent holes in the new sheet like the originals have.
