Not the Usual Rear Seat Belt Question

Am looking at fitting a 3 point rear belt in my 89 Caravelle...

Question is, do the pre-fitted mounting points have captive nuts behind them, or do you need to get access to both sides of the mount point to fit these?

Wary of undoing the existing lap belt bolts only to hear a clunk as the nut drops down behind somewhere :)

Cheers!

Pretty sure you'll have a captive nut being a caravelle. :ok

You should be fine. Nuts will be welded to the body.

Caravelle should have factory fitted mounts including the unused one up on the rear pillar you will use for your new belt. In the unlikely event someone has been playing and modified the lap belt mounts, you would soon know if there was a loose nut as you would need a spanner on it to hold it before it got loose enough to fall off.

Our Westy is based on a caravelle shell and all the seatbelt mounts in that were captive (i.e.welded in) nuts. :ok
