I either have a CS or a KY?
I dont have a JX as stated on my log book thats for sure!
Unless u can run a JX with out the turbo!
Need to know soon incase i need parts.
Think it could be a CS as it has a 45amp alt?
Got to be sure.
cheers.

engine number should be on the block, 'tween 2 and 3 glowplugs, a little down towards the oil filter housing if i remember correctly.
KY is 1700 btw, and lives longer!

Yes, there is a flat area just below the head gasket area back from the injector pump, will probably be rusty.
I would think you could run a JX without the turbo, not sure how well it would go though. Probably back to the 50HP n/a version.

If i have a jx without a turbo, the exhaust looks like a culmination of different bits!

Could be a standard turbo manifold with an adapter made to mate up with the header pipe, or a non-turbo manifold with a standard non-turbo header, or any combination of anything else. Where does your inlet manifold hose attach to on your air cleaner box? Could just be a non-turbo engine. The 1.6JX TD inlet manifold will point downwards so it can pick up it`s air from the turbo underneath, they connect together with a rubber hose about 10" long. Also, the TD inlet manifold will have a black plastic blow-off valve on its rear end (back of van end)

Turbo is easy to spot, it`s that big lump hanging down under the cylinder head with the exhausr pipe attached to it, looks like two snails mating
