Any electrical whizzes out there- grill question

Any ideas would be appreciated. Stoves 600 GT built in gas oven the electric grill is kaput

My grill has stopped working although the oven is fine. I replaced the element but no joy. Looking behind the oven/grill selector knob there is a transistor with a button to the left b. The odd thing is that nothing reaches the button any idea what its for - there is a spark inside when the button is pressed manually. Any other ideas for getting the grill to work again would be great

There should be a lead to the igniter - they are usually a thin wire encased in clear plastic ending in a small spade. I should think that this has dropped off the terminal on the igniter. (Presumably you mean this is not working and not that gas isn't reaching the grill)

In that case I would be looking at the switch for correct function.
