I've got an early 83 1.9 petrol with a leaky expansion tank - the pressurised one with metal cap and not the one under the reg flap. I'm having trouble finding a new one which are like hens teeth. Anyhow I was just wondering if anyone has swapped an early type for a more readily available late type. If so, was it major surgery?

Brickwerks sell them for £7.00 Header tank cap - T3 [metal]

It's the tank I'm after, not the cap.
