fuel cut-off terminal worn away!

I wonder if anyone else has seen this. The bus was occasionally experienced shuddering transmission, when we lost all power an AA man found the fuel cut-off switch connector had worked its way loose. We had the same thing happen again recently and I found that the terminal onto which the connector pushes appears to have worn the terminal away sufficiently that it cannot stay on any more:

I can only imagine that this has been caused by the engine vibration, I have no idea whether this happens all the time; I certainly have never seen such a thing. I am no engineer but I have run a few old cars in my time.

MOST importantly, where do I get a replacement terminal? I guess it is not a VW part.

Just cut the push on terminal off the wire and fit a ring terminal and fit it under the nut.

Or just crimp the female spade terminal on the wire gently with a pair of pliers to make it a tighter fit.
