Hi I've tried searching for the answers on the Wiki and the forum and apologise if they are easily accessible or even bloody obvious questions.
When on mains charge roughly how long to charge the leisure battery assuming all is working as it should?
Should the battery light be on the control panel when charging?
I look like I have a car battery rather than a leisure is this an issue?
Many thanks
James

From memory I think the original charger is around 6 or 7 amps however, it has two outputs and charges both starter and leisure batteries at the same time. Therefore, you can assume that the leisure is receiving between 3 - 4 amps and would need 16 - 20 hours depending on the remaining charge and the battery capacity.
No..you don't need the control panel illuminating when charging.
Yes...Westfalia originally fitted a starter battery as a leisure..trouble is finding a true deep cycle battery that will fit in the low battery box.
Starter batteries are fine anyway, just be careful not to completely flatten and re-charge immediately after heavy use.
Hope this helps
