HI All,
Well I had the front windscreen replaced this morning as it was cracked.
Unfortunately this revealed a bit of rust hiding behind the seal.

Can anyone recommend a good body shop to help resolve this -and or give me an idea of cost,
I live in North Somerset, near Clevedon so ideally one situated in Weston, Clevedon, Bristol area.

Many thanks Martin

The outside of the window area is fine Image and the other side of the window is too. I think this is because of the cracked glass.???

As a new owner I'm probably going to use it for summer and see if other rust appears in autumn then get it all done at the same time.

How can you tell its ok as you haven't got the glass out:-)
When you remove the glass you will find its rotten both sides, and make sure you don't buy a new seal from the wrong supplier

Hello Martin,
There's a garage in Clevedon called Moores Motor Cars.
They specialise in Old VWs and have a paint shop.

I can't speak for their body work, as I only used them for suspension work.
Which I was happy with.

They're so local to you, they've got to be worth a look see.
