I fitted new fuel lines last year. They were advertised as being ok for fuel and yet as you can see below, it's started to crack. I've replaced it with one that has exactly the same spec written on it, but appears to be bigger (wider) so lots of tight clamps to provide leaks. Can anyone recommend good fuel line supplies?

Seems to a common thing now, Brickwerks have started stocking a much better grade hose. Maybe have a looksee

What size is required? This said 7 x 3mm but so does the one that appears bigger???

That hose is not suitable for modern fuels. DIN 73379 2A is and old spec, you need DIN 73379 3D or SAE30R9

Any suggestions on where to get at reasonable cost? Some of the ones I'm seeing are remarkably expensive! The ones that are cheaper don't state 3D.

I got some at my local motor factors place and it seemed reasonable. Just ask for what you need and see what the damage is.

I think you're right CV. Or the village garage might have some when I drop it in for tune up. Actually, might have mot coming up. Better get on to that.
Anyone see the article in VW Heritage above ethanol enhanced fuels a adverse effect on engines of our vintage? It included something on hoses too.
