oil pressure switches and warning light

hi, been trying to get my oil warning light to work correctly, I have decided to wire the light up to a 12v bulb, I have replaced both oil pressure switches the one back of the cylinder head and the one on top of oil filter housing, wired up and bulb lights up with ignition on then stays on when started if I disconnect the switch on top of the filter housing the light goes out, I have replaced all the wiring to the switch and still the same, any help will be much appreciated
