Hi all, was hoping for a bit of advice on gear oil for my syncro. I'm just about to change the VC and so I'm gonna need some oil.

Just wondering if there were any particular brands anyone uses/recommends... Or do you find it doesn't make much difference and just use any old stuff? Also where do you find the best (and cheapest) places are to get it from? Any advice much appreciated.

Several prev threads about this and in the WIKI

But front diff can take GL5 80 or 75w90 oil.. so put in a good brand and spend as much as you want on it... You dont need a huge amount..

so GL4 for the gearbox then? there wasn't a syncro item on gearbox oil, there is now, what info need to go on there?

Now copied the Syncro web page guff on oils into that page an updated it slightly..

Thanks for that guys. Managed to get some Exxol brand GL-4 from a local oil specialist in the end.

Looks like this weekend I'll be changing the VC with the aid of the handy guide on the syncronauts site.
