Getting gearknob nearer

JK sell a short extension piece for gearsticks that brings the gearknob quite a bit closer than standard. I feel I need to get gearknob closer (I have to lean forwards to reach R, 2 and 4)- any other way of doing it? Could I not remove whole gearstick, put it in a vice and bend it to suit, or are they not made of suitable material? TIA, Bri

You risk breaking the gearstick shaft! And they are hard to source and rather expensive....!
Some form of screw on extension piece would be a better bet IMHO..

you will either have an already bent gearstick or some adjustment needed

from factory there is plenty of room

get someone who knows what there looking at to have a look for you first.

you can if carful re straighten the stick , if carefull , but they can snap
