Westfalia Water Tank Sensor

I'm sure I've seen something on here about fixing the water level sensor for the Westfalia on-board tank but am having no luck searching for it.

My water tank has a vertical rod with a round float that moves up the outside of it. It always says it is full (an optimist?!); any ideas on how to get it to tell the truth? Thanks.

Repaired mine a couple of weeks ago.
It's listed on the brickyard

Got my replacement reed switches from cpc farnell as they do free delivery and there is no min order ;)

If you need the part no.s let us know and I'll find the ones I ordered.

I ended up replacing the plastic tube as it had hairline cracks in it which let in water, I think it's quite common.

I got some plastic hgv truck air brake line, put a bar through it and warmed it up to make it straight and once cool it made a great replacement tube.

Also be aware of any sealant you may use to make sure it's safe in drinking water !

Jakemate, thanks for your post. Seems like quite a mission to repair the little bugger, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction. There could be quite a cottage industry in refurbing them ..... Anyone fancy it?

If you send me yours I'd repair it for you at a sensible price ;)
