Hi,
New to the forum! Currently restoring a 1983 1.9 petrol van (water pumper) Am thinking of a gti 8valve engine conversion.
Was just wondering how easy it really is, have heard good and bad storys!
What do i need in terms of adapter plates? gearbox? engine mounts? or alternatly does anyone know of somewhere in kent that would be willing to carry out this sort work?
Many thanks any info will be much appreciated

diesel
sump ,oil pump and pick up pipe, gear box bell housing, engine mounts, input shaft, clutch and fiy wheel, coolant pipes and few othere bits and bobs, BUT if your getting all this why not let me fit a nice TDI diesel for you and you wwill have just as much power if not more and around 40mpg :D
