Popped to the shop yesterday, quickly parked up jumped out and of i went.

Upon my return I'd noticed the left handside drivers light was on, so assumed I'd activated the parking light without realising it.

So do these vans have parking lights and how do you set them?

Can you set them for left and right side lights depending on how you positioned to oncoming traffic.

They do, I believe you simply leave the indicator selector on for the side you want the lights to be on and turn off the ignition.

It's easy to do accidentally when getting out of van, which in turn equals flats battery

I am forever doing it in mine if I indicate to turn in on a straight and forget to cancel the indicator.

It is not just the T25's either. I think every Volkswagen I have ever driven had this feature.

I actually use the parking light deliberately when parked after dusk on a busy road. I occasionally leave it on unintentionally when parked outside my house. I have also noticed that when I do leave it on accidentally, a helpful neighbour knocks on the door to tell me "You've left your lights on, mate ."


Usually just after I have gone to bed.

Don't you find it bliddy annoying it's back to front, well, the wrong way round ?
Opposite side to which you were indicating .....
I fitted led marker lights, which I can leave on for days without having to push start.....

Makes sense to me. If you have pulled over to the left, you would want the offside light illuminated for other road users?

Try a South African then. Mine doesn't do it.

I had to check, but with no fog lights either I'm not surprised! What's different then? Relay swap or different stalk to get parking lights?
