When i went to vanfest i tried my fridge on gas for the first time. After Tim (Chad) kindly showed me where the looking glass for the pilot light was and how to light it ive since realised although it lights ok it does'nt get cold but it does on electric so any ideas?

There is more than likely a spiders web in the flue, although the flame is there, it will not heat up
Remove fridge and clean out the flue, this should cure the problem

I had this problem, if you take the fridge out you might as well clean the whole thing.

remove the baffle from the exhaust chamber
clean the chamber ( you can buy a special brush or improvise with a baby bottle brush secured with stiff wire)and the baffle itself - use wire wool/ wet n dry
you should also blow out the gas pipe with compressed air but disconect everything first eg gas jet, check jet is clear by holding up to light if not blow through with air.
I found that the section where the gas knob is attached was totally junked up with grease blocking the gas holes.
Take this apart and use meths to clean it.
My fridge worked great after this.
You need to allow the frige fluid to settle after it has been upside down.
