Well, lets assume its not getting to the bulb then. The blue and white wire to dash multiplug is the main beam warning light and takes its 12v from the main beam circuit. You'll need to trace that wire, or run a new one? Chances are its a dodgy earth somewhere but thats the cable you need to follow. Could be the cable is fine but making poor contact with the PCB membrane on back of dash (not uncommon).

Cheers Mate. I will trace the wire and see if I can find problem. I have already checked and cleaned connections in multi plug. I assume, by what you say, the blue and white cable runs up to the dip switch on column ?

Also check the wiring behind the O/S headlight, the tell tale takes it's signal from the o/s headlight .

Thanks Steve, Just about to start again on Van. I now see why Haynes says that, I think No 5 fuse, for N/S head lamp and high beam warning lamp. So it doesn't get its feed from Dip switch then.

OK.... I should read the correct page, I was reading for earlier model, turn page and read again. Nothing about High Beam warning !!. Checked both headlamps, not sure what I am looking for as both have the same wiring combination . Now about to try and trace the Blue and White wire from the panel multi socket and see if that leads me anywhere.

Warning light bulb holder was a bit corroded or dirty. Got a small brush and contact cleaner fluid and gave the holder a quick clean. Now working.

Thanks CovKid for your input.
