My 2004 fiesta just gave me a EAC fault when I tried to start it. I was driving around fine, parked and tried to start it again to move it forward and it showed a "EAC" error. any ideas what this means. It wouldnt start.
quick google says it something to do with an electric fault on the throttle??!?!?!?

Get the fault codes read, otherwise you're guessing.
EAC - Electronic Accelerator Control. There's no throttle cable on modern cars, it's all fly-by-wire, with a throttle position switch on the pedal telling the ECU to move the throttle (or pump more fuel if it's a diesel) electronically.

Oh pants. I was fearing people will say that, they want £70 to run diagnostics!
Thanks Adrian.

Disconnect the battery, leave it ten minutes and reconnect. It might clear the fault code. Then see if it re appears. I hate modern cars for this very reason, laptops that malfunction from time to time.
