Fed up after replacing canvas last year only for it to be mouldy already, I'm thinking of taking off the pop-top and sticking on something like this;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-T25-SHELDO ... 2333f957d0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Trouble is I'm not sure how it's supposed to be held on, also will I just be replacing one problem with another? Any thoughts welcome...

I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
Is it as easy as putting the roof on and using tiger seal/silkaflex inside and outside of the join all the way round... And that's it?
Would it not require any rivetting to the van in any way?

I did that to

my camper, the old pop top roof was leaking and I couldn't get any spares to repair it. I bought a second hand hightop. The only fixings on my roof is Sikaflex and it is solid. And without getting into a pop-top vs hightop debate it is the best thing I done to mine.

Sounds good. I think I'd always be a bit concerned if I just used adhesive though. Not sure if and when I'll get around to it but it's going on my long list of things to do.
