Hiya folks - I have just re-fitted my fuel tank and having a bit of a game with the connecting breather pipe on top of the tank. I see the Wiki notes that this could do with being longer for refitting (I am currently about 1mm short of pushing it on to the fitting on the driver's side of the tank through the tiny space that I can get my hand in) so is it feasible to abandon the original rigid plastic pipe and just fit some longer, flexible fuel hose? Does anyone know if this would be a problem?

Can't see why, so long as it doesn't sag and rub against the gear linkage or anything else. All it's doing is allowing air to pass between the two halves.
