Coolant hose rubbing on engine mount...

This hose that comes from the expansion tank in the engine

has slight rubbing on the underside where its rubbing on engine mount (??) to stop this getting worse or maybe this could have been caused a long while back I don't know, can one put a metal sheath round that part of the hose ? (4cm) Would/could this cause any potential problems ?

bend something like this round ?

when i have a hose like that and it wont re-align then cut a bit of hose/rubber strip and wrap round that spot and cable tie in place = foc fix

old bike inner tube folded a couple of time to make it thicker would that suffice ? as dont have any old hose

As Mike says, cut a piece of old hose or your inner tube should do the job, put it around the area where it's rubbing and cable tie in place. You can just see this method around the piece of hose by the alternator on my engine:

cheers will stop by mechanic and ask for an old hose
