Porsche Phone Dial wheels

Hi
Having just bought our first van (85 Westy), me and the wife took a trip to Volksworld on Sunday looking for inspiration on wheels and sounds. Pretty disappointed to see so few T3s at the show, and very few in the carpark.
I did spot these Porsche Phonedials on a T1 tho and thought they might look good on our van. So questions, after using the search, I can't find anybody with them fitted, but assume its possible with spacers if they fit a T1 (and have seen pics of a couple of T3s in the US with them fitted)? I believe that the later models should fit as they are: 15" x 7" 5x130 bolt pattern, offset 23mm. (aka ET23)
Any advice welcome please?
Failing those, I'm leaning towards these Merc wheels
http://bit.ly/OccySK" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with dimensions of 7.5 x 16 ET 42....from what I've read on here and Brickyard, these should be no problem right?
Thanks in advance

Porsche Teledials are 5X130PCD...a T3(T25) is 5X112PCD.
So...adaptors are required to fit them but...and it's a big but....the alloys need to be approx ET55 to compensate for the thickness of the adaptors required to fit them.
Your 2nd option wheel will fit but spacers, longer rear studs and longer front bolts will be required.
Oh and not forgetting that both options may not be load rated for a T3 either...especially a Westfalia that can weigh 2.5 tonnes...
As it's your 1st T3 may I suggest you do as much research as possible BEFORE even thinking about buying alloys as it's easy to assume different alloys "fit"...only to find out that they don't!

Thanks Steve. Have been reading a lot of other people's posts and your replies and was hoping you'd reply as you seem the man in the know about these thing.
Our van came wearing these 17" Porsche Cup wheels and we have to be VERY careful of any unevenness especially when on any kind of lock, otherwise it dinks the wheel arch! (Both arches are dented and paint cracked)...Hence looking for 15"-16" wheels and slightly deeper rubber.

Fitted these last week after a successful ebay bid.
5x130 pcd
15" x 6"
ET is something like 52.3"
Also bought some 5x130->5x112 20mm adapters. Just went on without any bother at all.

A few things to note:
Phonedials came in 15/16" and various offsets. Ask the seller for clear information on width, diameter and offset and you will be safe. Ignore this and risk buying wheels that won't/are a pain to fit correctly.
As stated above - ideally you want a set of PCD adapters 5x112 to 5x130 to overcome the stud pattern issue. Common practice is to fit 25mm thick adapters as this suits common Porsche offsets (et52 is very popular) and sits the wheel in the arch/away from the suspension nicely. Also consider buying 'hubcentric' adapters rather than cheaper ones. This means they have the locating ring in the centre which makes the wheel more centralised and stable - plus its a lot easier when changing a wheel (believe me!) as it gives you somewhere to sit the weight and spin it on.

Porsche cups are exactly what i want for my van! Properly frustrating trying to find some i can afford too! Research is your friend when it comes to wheels, a lot of people say any wheel can be made to fit, but that requires stupidly deep pockets, patience and time!
