Hi all, hope this is the right place thought I would be spending most of my time with bodywork so say say hi here.

Recently picked up a 79 t25 westfalia joker 2.0 Aircooled last month so thought I would join up. I will be undertaking some panel replacement etc in the following weeks so I'll be putting up photos etc of my progress

Hey are there any members in the Manchester area? Thanks Alon

Was going to put some pics up but it's saying the photos are invalid??? Oh well

Hi there thanks, nice.

I was trying to post a 2.5mb photo lol think it's only 114kb or something

I see you have a cu 2.0 too what's it like on fuel? I've heard stories of 17mpg! I didn't sleep for a week! Surely it's not that bad

Hi jim, it's not bad for a old van it's mostly cosmetic tbh underside is solid

I want to return it to its original colour which from the code on the plate is a lime green don't know the code yet

Just get it back to standard condition really I think they don't look good with fancy wheel etc

interior is great just deciding wether I have the skill or wether to get someone to do the work :?

It needs the exchangers brazing Service then MOT

I don't know what mpg the lorry that delivered my T25 was doing, but my camper is certainly showing very efficient fuel economy just sat on my drive ! :rofl :rofl

It's SORN at the moment waiting for me to pull my finger and and finish it !

It's not going to be great mpg, but take a little time and make sure the twin carb set up is serviced and balanced and you'll claw a little back :ok

I can't see it being that bad if it's bad I will get a LPG system. Lol yea the truck that dropped this off did a healthy 17mpg that was a 2.5 ford ranger

Got the heat exchangers off today they have gone to the exhaust fabricators for tinwear repair.

I have also been to engineers for new flanges to be made where the exchange bolts to the exhaust the old ones were shot. They will go back to the exhaust fabricators tomorrow to be welded at a later date

Next purchase is service kit dizzy plugs leads oil filters etc does anyone have any preferences for said parts?

:ok

I'm using the shipping container as a garage / store

I used all sorts of stuff to get it in planks bricks trees books etc as the container is 10 inches off the floor

I mentioned I can't get the bus out as I don't have ramps plus the exhaust are off so sounds like a stock car

I have some planks lying round somewhere if there any use to you. I think they are about 7ft long and about 4 inch thick I think.
