Autosleeper high-top bed board

Dear Forum
New member, first post...
I have a 1990 high-top Autosleeper which I bought missing the extra bed board for the top bunk that should pull out to make it longer. Does anyone know how/where I can get a replacement or if I need to get one made what the dimensions and spec are?

sorry cannot help you with dimensions etc,I did try to remove the bed board as we do not use it,I could not get it out,however I tried to move it, it just kept catching in the roof,so it is still up there

Hi,
We have a 1987 Autosleeper hi top all completely original inside.
I just went out and measured the extra bed board for you.
The dimensions are 48" wide by 24" deep by 1/2" thick.
There is also a reinforcing strip of wood at front end with handle to slide it out. This is around 3/4" x 3/4". There are also 2x holes underneath which accommodate the 2x metal locating pins. This prevents the extra board from moving while sleeping. The full unit is padded on top and carpet covered underneath.
I can provide photos tomorrow in the daylight if you wish.

Would love to see picutres, I am going to build a bed in my Holdsworth HiTop so they would be great to look at...Thabnks.

if you open the sliding widow you should be able get it out

I agree with Mark above. I usually open sliding top widow to remove it.

Just checking that the 1/2" thick is excluding the padded foam on top, i.e. just the wood? And what type of wood is it?

Yes, 1/2" thick is just the wood. It is plywood so nice and strong and the reinforcing strip of wood prevents it flexing when entering the roof space.

scottbott .... Did you ever get the board out..I had the same trouble. Eventually removed it by opening one of the windows in the roof and sliding a corner through the opening,
