No, although not sure why you'd want to. Replacements will cost more (around £40 a pop even on ebay) and you won't go any faster. Would be ok on an engine built to go flat out but can't see that on a 1.9dg :D

The stock one breathes fine (as long as its replaced now and then) and you can get them easily and for about 1/4 of the price. In fact no, £3.99 at Euro car parts - thats 10 air filters as opposed to one K&N.

only worth it if your thinking of keeping the van for a long time and are happy with your engine I have one on my dg engine but I have no intention of selling van due to its as new condition

You'd need a powerful engine to notice any difference. VWs are low revving workhorses. Definately worth replacing them from time to time though. I had some bad idling problems a couple of years back - completely cured by new filter. They're cheap to replace though and I wouldn't want to be messing about cleaning one.

I watched this one but he's replacing a dirty filter with a clean one. Doh.
