My fuel pump has recently stopped working (mk2 gti) there's power at the push on socket that attaches to the pump it just doesn't do anything. The van was running spot on before it seems strange that it would just stop overnight.

They do fail, some times a small tap with a hammer wakes them up for a short time. Which mk2 gti engine is it? Kjet or later electronic injection?

Switched earth from ecu via relay. Check this side of it with power probe etc before you spend any money. Relay/connections etc on earth side
