Looking to buy from this list.

I'm thinking General Grabber AT or BFG Long Trail, which appear to me to be a good compromise between off-road ability and on road performance.
Anyone recommend one way or the other, or perhaps a different tyre?
I should add the van is a JX powered Syncro with 15" MEFRO wheels. We have decided to accept that there will be some losses in terms of power etc, but we're going this route anyway and just want to find a fairly good tyre which behaves well both on and off road (green laning, basic off road trialling etc)

Well, having studied the write up and reviews of both, I've just ordered the general grabbers.
Cue 10 posts saying "I definitely wouldn't have bought those"

You tried any of the local tyre people to see what they can offer?
I haven't had to look into them yet but found internet and tyre depots pretty comparable, and removes the hassle of having them fitted and old tyres disposed of.
Priorslee motors may be worth a shout. They are Maxxis outlet and I have seen some decent reviews of their tyres.

Thank you Jim, but "I'VE JUST ORDERED THE GENERAL GRABBERS" end quote
To be honest, I did mean to have a word with my friendly local (Wem) tyre boys, then Shaun gave me a gentle Sunday evening poke and the deed was done.
The van is going to look epic next weekend

Orders can be cancelled
You getting a spare set of rims so you have options

Fair point, didn't think of cancelling
We have the new 15" mefros ready to go, and to be honest I'm just eager to get them on now (you can sympathise, I know). Also, there are slow punctures on all four wheels at the moment. It's such a drag pumping them up every other day. We don't know whether it's the tyres (unlikely to be all 4?) the rims are not good (ditto) or whether the rims and tyres are not a good match.
So, when the new wheels are on, we'll get the rims checked, and if good we'll get some 14" road tyres put on.
Yes, the local boys.
I think

I'm also thinking a spare set of rims could be an option. Most days driving around on AT is unnecessary for my usage - will see, when spare cash starts to burn holes in pockets again - may be a while
