Hitop roof vent question

Hi all
As part of the ongoing interior refit of my Hitop I'm thinking of fitting a roof vent on the very top. Narrowed it down to the Fiamma vent 28 one.
Two questions:
Anyone have any other ideas for vents, different manufacturers etc?
Anyone fitted the vent 28 from scratch, and were there any issues to speak of (apart from cutting a whole in my roof!)
Appreciate anything constructive

Check you have a big enough flat area, not just for the whole itself but also the frame surround, I don't think it quite fits on a factory hightop as this has raised sections which are approx 300mm wide so the frame would be hanging over slightly front and back.

Mine is a Bilbos Hitop, and has a large flat top section so that's not an issue, cheers though.

Fitting these vents generally involves fixing an upper and lower section together so that they clamp the roof between them, which means that they tend to have a maximum roof thickness that they will work with. It might be an idea to cut a small hole in your roof lining to try to work out the overall thickness of your roof before you order any vent so that you know it's going to work.

Cheers. At the moment the roof is stripped out and bare fibreglass....
