Piersburg 2e carb non return ball help

I have had a few issues with my carb over last summer and most recently yesterday and the months running up to it

Back last august the jets got blocked so I split the carb and cleaned out the blockage and re assembled

The gasket wasn't the best going back on but it got me out of a jam

I split the carb down again yesterday evening after reading the forum and found that there should be a non return ball (missing I presume ;S)

I have prodded the hole with a bit of welding wire but its going right down

Should this ball be floating ? where can I get one from or use an alternative . A guy mentioned a simple ball bearing 4mm??

ordered a new gasket but need to find out about this non return ball before re fitting

cheers guys

not sure what you mean

does it look anything like this?

http://www.edgebiz.net/pierburg2ecarb.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

if so I'd say you have the wrong carb.

So you have a pierburg 2e3
Have a look on the side there will be a carb number starting with 025
You don't need balls :ok

As soon as the gaskets arrive it will get a full overhaul

It's the first time I have ever took a carb apart to be honest , I have a spare to rebuild and test first tho :) good fun
