Recommended specialists in Berkshire area?

Hello all,
Picked up my van this weekend - and went camping in it the night of the pick-up. Really happy with her, but would like to get a few things done to her - mechanically, electrically and internally.
Does anyone have any recommendations for specialists? I live in Reading, Berkshire - so the closer the better. I have been recommended Voodoo Volkswagen Restoration (
http://www.voodoovw.com) who I have been in contact with and seem very nice, but are a little too far away (I might use them anyway as pesornal recommendations are always best) and I have also found Berkshire Bugs (
http://www.berkshirebugs.co.uk) - but I don't know much about them.
Thanks in advance

I've been recommended Hares of Berkshire. Seen his work and it seems to be of a good standard. However, I can't confirm how it will stand the test of time.

Thanks ringo - do you have a website or contact number for them? Google is failing me.

Went and visted Berkshire Bugs or Berkshire Campers on my lunch break - and the chap was very accomadating, reasonable and seemed to know his stuff. I have booked Daisy (not my choice of name!) in for a full service and check-over next Monday so I will let you know it goes.

I live in Reading as was looking for a specialist last year after failing MOT. I needed welding and other work done. Matt @ auto impressions
http://www.auto-impressions.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; did everything for me and finished to a high level of workmanship. He also retested and made sure it went through the MOT. Cannot compare in terms of cost as i didn't quote from anyone else, but in terms of helping me out and getting a good job done it was spot on.

That's odd! I'll try and find out more. Perhaps he saw my van and thought - that's it - never again!

http://www.beetlelink.co.uk/ at Farnham replaced the starter & oil filler tube for me last year (both pigs of jobs), did a good job, quick, at a good price - a bit closer than Voodoo too.

I took a Bay to Bershire Bugs a few years back to get a price for welding; I gave up asking after chasing him up for the third or fourth time and found a source of one of the bits for him. He was at Stonor with a T4 on display.
There is another company Fox and Sons (0118 932 0444) very close to Bershire Bugs, The PO my van used them to maintain it, that is all I know as I have not had any dealings with them.

Hi there, I too live in reading, and have just had our van done by Marks Autos in the same estate as Fox and Sons. I'll reserve judgement for the time being. Fox and sons don't do bodywork but Danny is an experienced vw mechanic and I would recommend him. They are out in hurst, so not far.
When we were looking to get our van done I spoke to Matt at auto impressions. To be fair he is a lovely bloke and has a good reputation, he just didn't fit into our timescales and price bracket. In hindsight neither of these was realistic for me anyway.
Take from that what you will.
