i need some help please? How would I go about repairing some star gazing on the hitop and then prepping it to paint? I'm confused, can i just sand it back and paint???

I've been searching hours through wiki and previous posts but not ,managed to find an answer.

If its cracking on the fiberglass gelcoat then you have to cut out the gellcoat along the cracks and refill with new gelcoat or it will just reapear, google repairing fiberglass see what pops up.
