New Alloys on my 91 Transporter

So after doing heaps of research. I bought these wheels off ebay not too long ago..
Mercedes CLK Wheels.
Offset off wheels are:
FRONT - 37
REAR - 32
Tyres are 205/55/16 Pirelli p7 fronts - 225/50/16 Pirelli p7 rear's
6mm Spacers in the front.
Yet to fit the rears, hopefully won't need any spacers, just longer studs.
Had to drill the holes out to 14mm.
Plan to fit the rears tomorrow, and if all goes well I will be able to report how it drives.

Good choice Bonno. What you gonna do about centre caps? You can get away with the black cap on the fronts, but need something on the rears - I'm facing the same problem and don't know what to do.

Thanks, I'm very pleased with how they have turned out. I think the wider tyres really suit the look of the vans, steering is a little harder on corners but not too bad.
To anyone considering, it pays to do all the research beforehand. I hope these specs help someone else who is looking to put alloys on.
As far as the centre caps go, assuming I can get the right diameter, I was thinking of knocking up some cheap pvc piping, sprayed silver, with the original caps over the top. Not sure what kind of adhesive to use when fixing it to the wheel though...

The tyres are too small and possibly not load rated either.
205/55/16's are 22mm smaller than the standard 14" steel wheels and 185R14C tyres.
225/50/16's are 23mm smaller than the standard 14" steel wheels and 185R14C tyres.
225/55/16's or 215/60/16's are the correct sizes and both those sizes are available in load ratings suitable for a van that can weigh 2.5 ton.

Cheers Steve. So even after all my research, I have missed the mark on the tyres.
They did come with the wheels so I don't feel too out of pocket having to get new ones.
I understand now that weight rating is critical, but does size just mean that the speedo will be out, or will it affect other things?

Yes the speedo reading will be out but also the gearing will be affected as well.....and it's not a good idea having your bus revving higher than it already does.
