I hear talk of early and late vans with 1986 being the iffy year in the middle. How do I tell? Is it if it has bladed fuses its a late? Or are there other factors involved?

very early vans had the metal air vents like the T2, I think it was the first 18 months of production.

Chassis nr is the best:

But the door latch type, the fuse panel and the brakes are guidelines/evidences.

Thanks Irishkeet & ZsZ, both got me to the Brickwerks link. So basically I have a late van but with early front brakes.
PS I did search for 'early' and 'late' but it threw up tons of replies to various subjects. I have just tried the advanced search, why didn't I think of that before?

Earlies are pre 85 model year. Crossovers are 85, 86 (early and late components mixed). Late are 86 on but there was variations in other years like the metal to plastic grills mentioned earlier.
