greetings fellows, if i can blow air through the little pipe on the dalek cap from a cold engine does it need replaceing?

If you can suck and blow through it,then yes it needs replacing.

i can blow a tune through it but not back!

Then as Rob said it is fine.

cheers mate appreciate the help,got a litle confused as i read that i shouldnt be able to do either from an old post,only changed the bloody thing 1k miles ago and have just realised leaky pipe is back!
