How many hours labour for a windscreen corner rebuild?

I've been quoted 20 hours labour to sort out the rust (remove rust and rebuild) in the bottom corners of my windscreen.

That involves taking out the windscreen, cutting out the rust and making/welding good metal in.

Does anyone have any ideas if this is about right? For some reason this seems quite a long time to me - but I know nothing.

I'm less worried about the £27 an hour - I was just wondering if the estimate was in the right ball park.

Cheers,

Ringo

would depend on how much of the lip was missin g and if the dash then had to come back out the way, but if dash could stay and lip was livable then a day would rebuild it and make it very nice, paint no idea

Of more importance is the quality of the repair...will it be all steel? Or steel and lead..or brass? Or just a bit of steel and big splodge of strawberry jam?

Maybe pull the screen yourself and ask to see the metal work before any paints are applied.
