Alternative Radiator Fan

Has anyone fitted anything other than the old original fan and fan shroud to their radiator?

My fan shroud is pretty rusted up and the fan motor sounds like an old tired dog - so it occured to me that these radiators are probably of a standard size so is there an alternative more modern, more efficient, lower current etc fan/fan shroud assembly that can be attached to these radiators?

Yep - probably should have added 'cheap' to my list of 'wants'

Probably best to sort a good used one as apposed to an alternative.......trouble is, most are two speed and quite a powerful part. Motor technology hasn't moved on that much so I wouldn't have thought there was much to gain seeking an alternative.
Kenlowe fans were a popular replacement back in the day when most vehicles were still using direct or viscous coupling driven fans....everything nowadays is electric.
