front doors letting water in cab.

Hi
I have to park my van on an angle due to the drive the way it is. Which ever way I park it water is getting into the step area of the door facing up the drive. at right angles.

I can see that the water is coming in via the bottom of the door card. I have stuck a plastic membrane on the inside, but this doesn't seem to have worked.

Will changing the window scrapers help. Also I have had new door bottoms welded on. Should there be drain holes in the doors if so where, as the seals fit quite close the the edge of the wheel arch, and I cannot see where they might be!

Thanks

water ingress can come from the vent on the A pillar. it can travel into the door.
next time it rains just dip your finger inside the vent

Wasn't aware of this vent. can the water get in through there when the van is stationary?

My vent fills up in heavey rain dribbles down the pillar and wets the step but the drain holes is a good question I've never looked

I'll check it out in the daylight

check it out with a watering can, this confirmed mine leaked 'cos of knackered srapers, got some better secondhand ones for a couple of quid at a show, fitted in two minutes, jobsagoodun!
