Hi there,

I wonder if anyone can assist, my drivers side on my LHD multivan, is getting a really wet carpet and I think it's coming from my water filler for the screen wash. Is this a known problem and if so is there an easy fix without running around without screen wash.

It will more than likely be a leaking windscreen rubber or you might have the dreaded tin worm taking up residency in the lower frame corner.
Just to rule it out, have you filled the washer bottle recently? Does it smell of screen wash ( assuming you havnt just used water).?
I would think it very unlikely to be a leaking washer bottle as that sits under the floor, other possibility is a leaking washer pipe that goes to the jets.

I have to agree, it's going to nowt to do with the screen wash bottle. As said, rust under the windscreen rubber or possibly a loosely fitting screen wash jet letting rain in. (both mine leak at the moment, must get a new pair !)

Note, when "investigating" screen wash jets, they come out with a half turn and a pull (can be tricky) and they often get their clips damaged in the process, so new ones might be required anyway ! Also, be careful not to let the (short) bit of plastic pipe fall back into the hole as it can be a real sod to retrieve it !

No obvious sign of tin worm and the screen seal is good, it's looking like a water line to squirter issue but I don't know how I get a good look at the lines to check? Any ideas or is it a dash out job?

Sadly, iirc, if you are right, then yes you need to get the dash off to access the full "kit" of washer jet pipes.

Removing and reinstalling the dash isn't too bad a job, just be methodical about it and identify wires and switches etc as you remove them.
You could always do a few other jobs while the dash is out like cleaning the earth crowns , checking the heater matrix and pipes etc etc all jolly good fun
