Rear wiper motor replacement?

Whilst working through various jobs on my newly acquired T25 I have discovered that the rear wiper mechanism is completely shot. The wiper arm shaft had seized with corrosion, taking out the motor (seriously melted!) and possibly the gears in the gearbox. There don't seem to be any replacements readily available from anywhere - has anyone sourced a replacement? There are front wiper motors but they look very different.
You can get kit car wiper systems from Europa Spares and Car Builder Solutions but they're £140+ and I'm not sure if these windscreen wiper systems will have the correct sweep angle for the tailgate.
There are also many rear wiper motors/mechanisms from other vehicles for around £20 on Ebay - has anyone used any of these? My current favourite is the Golf MKII which looks pretty close and might be suitable for adaption for my van.

Hi,
I too had the same problem last year trying to fing a replacement and came to the conclusion that you cannot obtain a rear motor. Front motors are plentiful and cheap but the rear is a different design (or so it appears to me)
You will have to find a good used one like I found on the 80-90 'for sale' section - lucky boy

Happy hunting
:ok

I used Volvo 240 headlight wiper motors for my boat as they had a small arc of sweep - it may be worth looking at something like that. They are running 12" blades but seem robust enough for larger ones. They were better engineered than the original marine ones!

Mine died some years ago, The motor was melted, but the gearbox just needed a clean up.
I got a motor from a scrapyard VW Polo.
