Any idea where I can get a couple of these catch's? Stainless would be good :D but standard plated would do.

I thought that it was a leisuredrive but I now have my doubts. Had a good look at the weekend no makers marks at all. The gas springs were made in Bedford by The Gas Spring Company. I did think that I could ask who they supplied struts to in the 80's but can not track them down.

Those brackets look like the same ones on my Leisuredrive pop top ...
The fibre glass roof casting on mine has an imprint on the back in full view from the ground saying LDrive Manc's etc...
What year is yours ???
Does it have the roof rack type area moulded into the GRP at the back to carry STUFF on ????
They are probably generic made items used by many manufacturers !
Post a decent shot of the roof from a pair of steps, and mebbe one of the interior ... i will be able to tell LDRIVE interior no probs....
If you have any luck getting new ones [Stainless doubtfull M8 :( ]
mail me as i could do with a set......

Not sure if this is of any use to you, but there is still a gas spring compnay in Bedford. Its called Gas Strut Engineering and the website (not particularly inventively) is called http://www.gasstrutengineering.co.uk/ .

It may be the same company, who have just changed their name over the years.

Thanks for the links.

I had seen the gasstrut website last night and agree that they could be the same company. I will be ringing them later. I also notice that they do stainless versions :D I am not certain that I need stainless the steel struts have lasted 20 od years but if they are not that much more I will go for the better one's.

The stainless adjustable latch's on the RS site are also in need of a bit more investigation although they work backward from what I have. I may need to put the latch on the body and the clasp on the roof. Could be doable and again the stainless would last a lifetime. Or I may investigate getting some made up in stainless :? After all it is only money :D

I have sent one of the catch's to a friend to see if we can get them made up. If this happens I am sure we could have made a couple of extra threaded hook parts for you. Failing that and I get the stainless type you may be able to have one of mine. I will let you know what happens.

Steve Shaw of Gasure Uk will be able to help with your Carb. Follow the link below.
