Hi All

I have a 2.0 na EJ20 powered van, running what i believe to be its standard ABD 4 speed box. Would like to turn it into 5 speed to improve motorway driving and drop revs down or noise at higher speeds. Which Gearbox would you all recommend??

only worth changing to a box with a higher final drive and 5th gear so that would be the AAP, but 5th gear is only 10% taller than the ABD 4th gear
the 4 speed will be fine with the scooby only change it if it needs a rebuild and if it is being rebuilt then it could be changed ratio wise

Keep using the 4 speed till it goes belly up, then get Aiden to build ya a nice one! Thats exactly what I did when my 2.2 distroyed the box (ok it was more due to the spigot bearing going belly up).
