Hi all,
Got an 89 1.9DG, petrol, (water cooled). Can anyone tell me what the thin metal pipe is called that runs just under the lip of the left half of the engine bay, from the back of the engine round to the expansion and overflow tanks?
Thanks in advance.

It's worth you registering on
http://www.vagcat.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in cases like this so you can check for yourself which part you require then do a quick Google with the part number to see if it's still available..
But what number is it from the photo below?
If it's #1 then the part number is: 025121045D(plastic pipe) or 025121045E

I've edited my post to include the part number.
Don't under any circumstances order the part from VWHeritage without asking for availibility from other places first...Brickwerks to name one...because some of the Heritage prices tend to be a touch on the high side to say the least...

Not something we stock but it is available to us.
We can either order it specially but there is extra postage costs, or it can go on a stock order and there won't be much postage.
Price should be around the £70 mark or so but we don't know exactly until we order and get an order confirmation back.
If it's of interest the bob us a mail at
sales@brickwerks.co.uk and we'll see what we can do to help.

If you don't want to take Simon up on his kind offer give Mick Crowe (NW_VW) a shout 07968 367046, he strips late vans and should have a formerly appreciated one. He's near Preston.
