oil supply to heads different.

Hi everyone, My rebuilt engine now has 600 miles under it's belt but I am noticing a curious issue. The left hand rockerbox (cyl3&4) always has about half inch of oil in it when I have popped it off. The valves seem to get plenty of oil this side. The other side however is a different story, usually there is no oil to be found in here although the valve gear has a light covering. Instead above the number 2 valves the rockerbox has a coating of white mayonnaise even after a long drive. There is absolutely no water going missing from the cooling system. Is this unequal oil delivery a known thing it waterboxers. I know it was in very early air cooled engines but have never heard of it in a waterboxer? Could exhaust gases containing watervapour be getting past the valve guides causing the mayo. I do run on lpg and petrol and it makes no difference which I;m using? Could my head be cracked?

well I have an answer to the white mayonnaise there is a slight hairline crack in the number 2 side of the rt hand head. The crack is between the hole in the casting for the top cylinder head stud this end.(top left as you look from the rt side of the van) and the exhaust port. This is causing a very small amount of water vapour to enter the ro cker box up the valve guide. so small you cant see it but you can see signs of it in the exhaust port . For now I think it can stay where it is as the engine is running fine and no noticeable amount of water is being lost however I presume it could get worse and may be causing a lubrication problem in the valve guide? What I need now is a spare head to rebuild that isnt cracked!!! Anyone got one?
