Nothing to add other than I used to live on Wards Hill Road and drank in Players,Waterloo and Top Banana.

Its not a filter its the swirl pot.. why did you take everything off it? It should be on a bracket on the carb....
I will have to go check.. but fuel line goes from tank to pumt ro the left connection.. top one goes to tank and the remainder goes to the carb.. of course.. you have a fuel cut off valve in that line somewhere..(I put mine between swirl pot and carb so fuel stil circulates back to tank via swirl pot top connection)

Thanks si. Took it off old engine as replacement had bracket but pot gone. Thought it was swirl pot....didnt know if it was injection specific as couldn't find it in Haynes.

Edited to add:
Thanks Si. The nozzle that isn't connected has a < pressed into the plastic (its recessed) - pointing to the pot. Does this indicate Fuel in? Or am I being too obvious?
The pipe connected has its original jubilee clip....exit to carb?
Fixes with 2 screws to the bracket. Then the top goes back to carb?
So - does this do what the expansion tanks in the 2wd do? Or is it injection specific. Off to check my pocket manual....
Where is the fuel filter....am I back to a metal cylindrical jobbie??? Its was a 1.9dg running carb. That's what I killed. Not sure if that's what it was originally as sticker near filler indicates possibly fuel for 2.1 . Anyway...the 1.9 in there wasn't syncro as no oil cooler....but did have this swirl pot so no clue lol! The replacement 2.1 has come from a 16" syncro to 14" synro then to mine....so a syncro all the way. Just need to know what I have to put back lol xx
Thanks for all the help, folks

Sorry Si - you asked where the pipe connected to. There is another nozzle at the bottom of the pot....this is where the pipe is connected to.

You will have to wait till the morn as I will be taking the carb off mine in the morn..
No swirl pot is to remove air from the fuel when its being shook up off road etc..
Filter.. anyones guess with yours.. but you can fit one in the line from the tank (use a large one) that's where I have mine..
