2 wires, 1 oil pressure switch. What to do?

1990, 1.9L DG,Petrol,
I've just finished replacing the old engine for a new(er) one and only just realised that the old engine had 2 old pressure switches, and the new one only has the one (located between the push rods on the left side).
What to do with the extra wire? I'm not going to or am I able to remove the engine or partial remove and drill out the plug for a new switch by the oil filter, so do I:
1- Wrap up that wire and forget about it?
2- Ground it out to the frame?
3- Splice it into the other wire that feeds to the other switch?
4-???
Cheers all

The high pressure switch is for the buzzer and is normally open so closed when running
short it permanently to ground and you will keep it quiet
its the yellow wire in the loom and was only fitted to later dg engines, your recon/ new engine is an older engine with only one m10x1 port
if howver you want to keep the buzzer you can buy an m10x1 T adaptor and install both switches into the single m10x1 port between the push rod tubes
you may have to adjust the tinware to make it fit

where in the stoke are you? I work in chineham

I'm not too worried about the buzzer for the time being, so I'll ground it out. If/when I come across an adaptor then I might reconnect it. Really it was for the piece of mind that i wasn't going to do some unintentional damage.
I'm nearer to Bramley, but B'stoke is better known
Cheers for that.

Just make sure the low pressure switch is working by looking for the oil light each time you turn the ignition on

Its surprising how many people dont know to do that and are driving around with no oil light warning at all

because that switch is open when running if its broken or the wire has fallen off that light wont ever come on and you wont know you have a problem until its too late
