Anyone running a chargecooler or intercooler in a pickup?
If you have an intercooler.. how have you managed to vet enough airflow over it?
Chargecooler of course makes sense.. good suggestions on any particular ones to use or avoid?

Nobody????
So none of the TDi/PD boys running intercoolers or charge coolers??

Ok.. what about in a van/camper..?
They do have an advantage of a bit more airflow.. but still not ideal is it....

I run a Pace Renault 5 get turbo charge cooler that has been slightly modified to work in my Westy. It fits nicely behind the rear light cluster. The Renault 5 unit was recommended to me by Pete PC52

It's developed an internal coolant leak (2nd hand) but I have found a company that will copy it for about £275.

I can post some pics tomorrow if you want?

What engine are you thinking of?

i think if your going air /air with the correct fan then i would have no issues with a 2-3 amp draw when running ?

Cheers.. worth looking at..
air to air.. running a fan isnt the issue really. A few amps wont hurt... its getting enough air to/accross it.. and that air ends up in the engine bay too... I think charge cooling would be the way to go..

Russel used to run an air/air intercooler on his orange doka.

He swore blind that it did its job properly and kept the inlet temp where it should be (checked via Vagcom)

He had made a little scoop to encourage some air to it though.

The scoop iirc was somewhere just above the rear wheel arch and i think the intercooler itself was behind the rear light cluster.
